Pros
Great pay. FedEx makes purple look cool with their uniforms. Great people to work with depending on which FedEx Express hub location you're at. Great job security. Only way you can get fired is if you get yourself fired, so don't act stupid when doing this job. Get in, get out, get paid weekly, and relax.
Cons
The money isn't worth the stress that the job of a courier brings. You tend to work long hours. If you're in a bigger hub/station you'll work the minimum to the required amount of hours. If you're in a smaller location look forward to get hawked down and work long hours. Seniority is a HUGE problem at FedEx Express. A lot of old timers there. If you're expecting to climb the ladder quickly, good luck. FedEx doesn't really let their younger employees climb the system, its more of "patience is a virtue" mentality. Full-time is very hard to get as well, if you're planning on getting full-time, good luck! But most the time when you get full-time jobs it's something that you won't like doing unless you think it fits you. Raises weren't always given, they created a new pay raise system, so they can show they "appreciate" their employees more. It's great and all but as soon as they give us raises they'll cut hours back, it's like the raises weren't even given. FedEx Express says they're about their employees, and that's a white lie. They care about more of what the internet, and customers think. Employees always comes last. That's what happens when the company is run by a bunch of old farts and instead of letting younger, and hard-working people try to qualify for higher up jobs.
