Pros

Great flexibilty in schedule especially if you are a student. Good health benefits. Worked with and meet the most amazing people! Good opportunity to learn graphic arts software, like Photoshop, Illustrator and good exposure to a variety of software and innovative technology. Brilliant marriage of 2 needed services by almost anyone who is running any business, espeically small to medium size. Like any marriage FedEX is still working out its communication kinks. Variety of opportunity to move laterally, but limited upward growth.

Cons

Try too many new things at once and do not let new concepts stay in place long enough to see if they work. Constanltly moving the target or goal. Little stability -often reduce hours at will. Sometimes understaffed. Many times 1 or 2 coworkers left to run store with no management or supervisory presence. very little training. Prior to merger could go online and do training on your own time & initiative - to gain better understanding of design software to bettter service the customer. Now it needed approval and on the floor training is reqularly interrupted, not completed or rushed while trying to service customers. Difficult to learn and master concepts to provide better service and consistent quality product. Every customer across the nation should experience the same or close to the same level of service and knowledge when they enter FEDEX Office just like they do with FEDEX shipping services.

Pros

Easy to apply, fast to get hired (no interview process) and the pay

Cons

Very rude management, lack of care for safety, no drinkable water (all filters are in the red and have been since I started) They have cameras everywhere and are constantly watching you but say you can’t bring your own phone in because “people steal them”? There is junk everywhere. Lots of trash everywhere (employees drinks and food). They want you to work and eat on the line instead of giving you breaks to do so. They get upset when you use the bathroom or fill your water bottle even if you’ve been working for 3 hours straight but if you clock in at an area 2 min walking distance from your work area you’re “stealing time” I’ve noticed people of color get treated differently. The HR department has some of the most prejudice employees so there’s no real equality if you have conflict with someone. I’ve never been, but it feels like a prison to go in and out of the building and lastly you don’t work a consistent schedule. You leave when they say you can.
