Pros

-Physical, it really is a great workout. -Not technical, you don't have to think too much. -Low responsibility. -Off work early(local pre-load shift)

Cons

-Inconsistent hours, sometimes shifts will change start times with less than 24hrs notice, and if you were scheduled the day prior you might not be notified. Shift ends when it ends, might be 7am, might be 9am, doesn't matter what the schedule says. -Low pay, pay sounds decent at start, until you realize you might move 3x volume as other and receive same pay. -Meal/rest breaks might not provided, or might be coerced into taking meal break at the end of shift which violates Oregon state law if employed in this state. (Note previous bullet about inconsistent hours. This makes it's difficult to even advocate for yourself and say hey we are required to take a lunch during this time because our schedule might only say 5 hours, but then we are required to work well past 6hours when a meal break would have been required) Not to mention literally everyday I see dozens of employees working though 10min break periods because they are either not told to take their break or they are engaging in a work culture of 10min breaks are the only time the belt stops and now they can catch up on packages stacked out by their work areas. -Training, rather lack thereof. At one point new hires were together and had trainers next to them for up to 2 weeks. Now new hires are spread throughout the building and are lucky to receive 2 or 3 days with a trainer by their side, then thrown to the wolves with minimal guidance after that. This leaves others with increased workloads, unable to even give tips or pointers. -Turnover. Constant influx of new hires as solid workers leave feeling underappreciated or overwhelmed. -Exhausting. Even though you might get of early and don't really work a ton of hours throughout the week, you are on your feet the whole time on metal grated flooring, with constant heavy lifting. And you will very rarely receive help for very large and awkward packages the required team lifts, leaving you to lift those packages alone. As such, you WILL feel worn out after your shift.

Pros

Easy to apply, fast to get hired (no interview process) and the pay

Cons

Very rude management, lack of care for safety, no drinkable water (all filters are in the red and have been since I started) They have cameras everywhere and are constantly watching you but say you can’t bring your own phone in because “people steal them”? There is junk everywhere. Lots of trash everywhere (employees drinks and food). They want you to work and eat on the line instead of giving you breaks to do so. They get upset when you use the bathroom or fill your water bottle even if you’ve been working for 3 hours straight but if you clock in at an area 2 min walking distance from your work area you’re “stealing time” I’ve noticed people of color get treated differently. The HR department has some of the most prejudice employees so there’s no real equality if you have conflict with someone. I’ve never been, but it feels like a prison to go in and out of the building and lastly you don’t work a consistent schedule. You leave when they say you can.
