Pros

The office is an enjoyable workplace.

Cons

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my former employer, Favola. My experience working at this company was marred by a sudden and unjust termination without any reasonable explanation or warning. The only reason for my contract being terminated was ‘you were fidgeting during a client call, you were looking at the window and did not make any notes’’. I was also called a ‘red flag’ which is for me, not a valid reason to let someone go after two weeks. To begin with, my time at Favola started off on a positive note. I was initially excited to join the team and contribute my skills and expertise to the company's success. However, that enthusiasm was quickly shattered when I was unexpectedly let go without any clear justification or opportunity to address any alleged performance issues. The lack of transparency surrounding my termination is deeply concerning. As an employee, I believe it is my right to be informed about the reasons behind such a drastic decision, especially when it significantly impacts my career and livelihood. The abrupt nature of the dismissal has left me feeling undervalued, humiliated and disrespected. Furthermore, the company failed to provide a supportive work environment. The leadership at Favola demonstrated a complete disregard for basic principles of fairness and respect. Instead of fostering an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, they exhibited a culture of indifference towards their employees' well-being. My manager ignored me and failed to train me for the whole two weeks I was working there. There were no performance evaluations or constructive conversations about areas of improvement. Instead, I was blindsided by an unexplained termination that left me questioning my professional abilities and self-worth. Moreover, the lack of any support or assistance during my departure only added insult to injury. There was no effort made by the company to offer guidance or help with my transition, which has further exacerbated the financial and emotional stress that comes with sudden unemployment. My experience with Favola has left a lasting negative impression on me, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this organisation to anyone seeking employment. The disregard for employee well-being, the lack of transparency, and the absence of a fair and supportive work culture are significant ‘red flags’ that prospective employees should be aware of. I sincerely hope that Favola reevaluates its practices and treats its employees with the respect and fairness they deserve. Until then, I caution anyone considering joining this organisation to think twice before committing their time and talent to a company that dismisses employees without reason or explanation. Remember, your professional growth and job security should not be at the mercy of an arbitrary and uncommunicative employer.

Pros

A genuinely wonderful company to work for. It has a great work culture which welcomed all and made for a warm and friendly environment. Their staff structure was non-hierarchical so it meant you could have open, communicative relationships both professionally and personally. I remember feeling like I could talk to anyone and was always heard. Also, it was very creative and ever-evolving which was exciting to be a part of.

Cons

Not really a con, but because of the ever-evolving nature it was fast paced. Anyone working in social media will know this is the norm however. I suspect it’s the least pressurised of all the agencies.

Pros

My experience of life at Favola was overwhelmingly positive. The team are talented and kind and the culture is one of collaboration, growth and support. The work itself is varied and typically creative, and there’s a strong sense of pride in what the company produces. Pay and benefits always felt fair, and expectations are clearly communicated. Senior leadership are approachable, accessible and incredibly invested in the people they employ. There is a culture of direct feedback, but it's always constructive, and I always felt supported when raising ideas or concerns. While there are established ways of working, people are listened to, and suggestions for improvement are taken seriously.

Cons

This is still a relatively small agency, work can be fast paced and this doesn't always suit everyone's working style. The company currently lacks the kind of formal learning and development opportunities that might be offered by more established agencies, but this is something management are establishing.
