Pros
I really enjoy the job itself and the work I do.
If you work at Fathom, you will likely enjoy your co-workers and may even make lifelong friends. The low and mid-level employees in the bullpen/ day-to-day trenches are smart, hard workers, a lot of fun, and are genuinely cool, down-to-earth people.
Extra benefits for fulltime employees include great health insurance and semi-flexible working hours.
Cons
Although there were a few positive changes throughout 2018 and 2019, “the offices” in general have always been out of touch with “the cubicles.” A handful of power-hungry micro-managers are more focused on looking out for themselves than building goodwill and trust. Though not a large corporation, everything moves at a glacial, bureaucratic pace.
There is extremely little room for growth and career potential; promotions and raises are nearly non-existent. Health insurance is great, but the salaries for low and mid-level employees are NOT competitive in the Denver market, and most people have stagnated in their careers at dead-end jobs. A majority of positions are paid $10k-$20k under the Denver Metro market value.
Extremely “old school” mentality among the CEO and some members of the leadership team. There is a major disconnect between the older generation of leadership and the mostly millennial and Gen X workforce.
Poor behavior throughout the company goes unpunished, good behavior goes unrewarded.
