Pros

Shop manager is knowledgeable and skilled

Cons

Will modify your hours to ensure you don't exceed 40 hours. Owners/managers have yelling matching constantly. Don't count on ever seeing a raise. Struggle to maintain workers. Benefits package is terrible. Encourages dishonest practices

Pros

It's a nice place to work, and the family that owns the place take an interest in their employees as individuals. I found it to be a fair, professional environment with a casual enough work atmosphere that you enjoy going in each day. Management cares about employee concerns, wages are fair, friendly co-workers, and there is no forced overtime although it's sometimes avaliable if you want.

Cons

They're new to that facility and so things can be a bit chaotic and disorganized sometimes, but they are aggressively trying new business strategies and to enter new markets so you just have to go with it and grow with the company.

Pros

They're in a niche business. I can't think of anything good about working there.

Cons

Terrible management, allow people to be negative toward one another. I had been asking management with assistance on getting the negative tension out of the department only to hear it was all me, really, after 4 weeks of employment. Toxic environment, my first day the CFO/Controller (daughter/sister of owners) told me any and everything bad she could about her brother, the President. Who does that let alone on someone's first day. I was told the toxic person in the office who was cancerous toward me does it to everyone new in the office. Why do businesses allow this type of behavior, its bad from the beginning. Poor hiring, I was setup to fail from the beginning. The CFO/Controller hired me to take her place without having the Owner, President or VP's input. In this type of position you should always meet with all stakeholders to ensure its a good fit for all. I wasn't liked before I even started.
