      Pros

      lots of experience and training. a good 7 to 4 work schedule and weekends off. ideal if you have kids. also a pretty good earning potential if your store is in a good district.

      Cons

      the only way you can move up is through sales. You have to be a very sales oriented person although you do get a good base salary. The commision is very complex and could be confusing and the pay is not to competitive for the amount of work.

      Good job to have during college. People are easy going and easy to get along with. Overall really good experience

      Pros

      You get to meet great people along the way. POS system is a great tool.

      Cons

      Fastenal does not do performance reviews. Trying to get a raise is near impossible. When you ask for a raise they upper management says that you need to sell more..... Fastenal seems like it's trying to weed out there tenure employees and higher college grads with no experience and little pay to replace seasoned personnel.
