Pros

It's tough to explain what it's like to work at FantasyPros without it sounding like hyperbole. The company's fully remote and has been from the very beginning, but I've never worked anywhere where there's such a sense of togetherness. It helps that most people on the team are huge fans of sports/fantasy sports; having that shared interest really helps to foster a feeling of community and I've developed close relationships with many of my co-workers The owners, Dave and Tom, have so much integrity. I could give numerous examples, but the bottom line is that they are just fundamentally good people and extremely astute when it comes to business. The culture at the company reflects that. Transparency and fairness are the key words I would use to summarize everything. Everyone on the team is looped in on the company's performance and goals, everyone's input is valued, everyone is given an opportunity to use their full set of skills to contribute, and we are always encouraged to do the right thing in any interaction with customers. The benefits of working at the company are very generous (completely flexible schedules, no limits on vacation time, numerous stipends and other monetary benefits). I'd say the company is an especially great place for people with young families, as the flexibility really does mean you don't miss out on anything at home. In terms of resources, people are given the equipment and tools they need to do their jobs. If there's a piece of software I think will help our team, I'm almost always given the go-ahead to get it. My manager will reach out proactively to see if there's any equipment, books, etc that would be helpful to me, or if my computer is due for an upgrade. From a business standpoint, the outlook for the company is very exciting. The company is extremely well positioned in both the fantasy sports space and the emerging sports betting space. There are big opportunities for growth and innovation over the next few years. More than all of that, though, FantasyPros is a fun, enjoyable place to work at. I can honestly say there are no egos at the company and no politics at all. It always feels like we're pulling in the same direction. I get up each morning and look forward to sitting down at my desk to work. That's something I really value.

Cons

The only real downside for me is the intensely busy period we have in late summer/early fall, as we get close to football season starting. Our project deadlines are often based around the sports seasons, so we don't have the flexibility to set them internally. This can mean some very busy weeks as we get things ready to ship.

Pros

Worked at fantasy pros over the summer and beginning of football season last year. They’re great about training and management is very understanding and helpful

Cons

Obviously weren’t a lot of career opportunities there but that’s understandable as it was a contract position
