Pros

Remote work. Schedule flexibility. Working in sports media can be rewarding.

Cons

Zero culture. The "team-building" efforts that are made are hollow and don't last. Zero growth potential. Don't even think about asking for a raise or promotion. Growth is not a thing here. Anyone interested in growing their careers is essentially told to look elsewhere. Compensation is below standard. Market rates mean nothing to the company. They underpay both employees (plus poor benefits) and contractors. Leadership/management doesn't care. Zach will act like you're family but you're not. He doesn't care about you and will forget about you instantly.

Pros

They seemed committed to resisting AI content, and encouraged opinion-based writing, which is rare and something I respected going in.

Cons

You get absolutely zero feedback. I was let go without a single note about what they were looking for or what wasn’t working — just a vague email saying they were “moving in another direction.” That was the first communication I’d gotten about the quality of my work. The pay is insulting: $0.25 for every 2,000 views. It's the same recycled movie/TV takes, hitting that number isn’t realistic unless you’re chasing clicks or parroting others. If you want to write about comics (or anything outside of MCU), good luck — the media library is incredibly limited, so every article ends up using the same 20 images. No original art or alternate sources allowed, which kills creativity and makes the site feel like a stale thumbnail farm. The advertisements make the site unreadable. Ultimately, it’s just another clickbait mill pretending to care about quality. There’s no investment in contributors, just output, which isn't even good if you're bored.
