Pros
If you want work as an independent life insurance agent then you should work for Family First Life. Period. FFL is the best IMO in the industry in terms of comp/training/products and there is currently not even a real contender. FFL prides itself on putting its agents and their clients first. They will teach you how to become a true financial professional and how to earn a multiple six figure income by selling insurance. The proof is in the numbers. FFL will ISSUE over $125 million in life/annuity premium in 2017 and no other IMO is even close to this in terms of ISSUE PAID volume. FFL does NOT make you sign a contract with them. Before considering working for any other IMO you should ask yourself why they would make you sign a contract (every other IMO that I am aware of will make you sign a contract with them). The reason that other IMO's make you sign a contract is that they cannot figure out how to keep their agents from leaving without scaring them into a potential lawsuit if they want to leave. This is absolutely abusive to the concept of being an independent contractor. At FFL you will not have to sign a contract because they believe that the right way to keep agents is by teaching them how to earn more money than they can earn with any other company and in doing so, agents will not want to leave. However, they are free to leave at any point if they wish since they are not bound by any ridiculous contracts. That alone should say enough about why you should choose to work with FFL. Outside of the highest compensation in the industry, free training, and no contract, other perks include.... Exclusive leads - Leads that you purchase are never resold to other agents. FFL ONLY makes money on issue paid insurance premiums so there are no hidden costs or clubs that you have to join etc. Cash Bonuses paid to producers The best and most complete product portfolio to choose from in providing the best solution to clients to meet their needs FULL TRANSPARENCY - you will never be misled or lied to about what is expected from you as an agent working for FFL. Renewals! You are fully vested day one of joining FFL and will earn renewals on any permanent policies that you sell even if you leave FFL. If you are scared to strive for excellence, scared to work, scared to be challenged, or unwilling to listen and be coachable then you should not consider working for FFL. Otherwise, there really should be no other option in choosing who to work for as an independent insurance agent.
Cons
I do not consider these to be Cons but if you do then you should not consider working with FFL.... You are expected to work! If you are looking for a multi-level-marketing company that preaches recruiting agents and singing and dancing at meetings that you have to pay to attend then FFL is not right for you.
