Pros

Office is closed between Christmas and New Year Pay is good for a nonprofit

Cons

C-suite and senior directors are horrible Org talks of doing good in the world and supporting communities of color, but doesn't actually take a stand on anything or want to be an anti-racist org Toxic workplace for any POC Everyone is always overworked and overwhelmed

Pros

This nonprofit organization is led by a conscientious and compassionate administration that "gets" employees' need for family time, personal time, time away from work, etc. They have a generous allotment of personal time and have done a stellar job of negotiating the COVID-19 crisis. They take their mission to leverage the food economy for the greater good of all seriously; their devotion to the communities they serve -- low-income, BIPOC, food entrepreneurs, community advocates, etc. -- is not just lip service. A good place to work for people who want to feel good about what they do.

Cons

It's a nonprofit, so pay isn't great.
