Pros
The business only wants to do something if they can be the best at it in the world - and they can! They have strong domain expertise and enthusiasm. Very welcoming culture. Good-natured people. Highly inclusive. Lots of interesting problems and projects to get stuck in to. Very rewarding for high-agency and proactive people.
Cons
There is some tension between people who have expectations of the business behaving like a startup and those with expectations like it's a scaleup. Can be high-pressure at times (normal for startup/scaleup). Feels like a place with good culture but values can feel a bit vague. Rewards are good for a remote business but are maybe slightly lacklustre in the grand scheme of things or particularly if the business becomes less remote and more hybrid.
