Poor planning leaves huge holes in work schedules, so there is plenty of time to put your feet up and look busy.

Poor departmental management, only made worse by department managers being happier to blame other departments than get to the root of the problem. Regularly using expressions like 'sometimes you need to burn your fingertips to know not to do that again' or 'it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission' No end of year appraisal, and should you beg for one, the cop out will be that 'it’s all decided by the MD, I will make a recommendation on your behalf'. No to minimal pay review, expect nothing, that way you can’t be disappointed.

FSI have a real sense of family, a give and take attitude and offers plenty of opportunity to move up, or sideways within the company to a desired role. The company offers a wide array of benefits for staff to take advantage of, and often engages in activities to promote that sense of family and team building Many member of staff have long histories with the company, and it is often the case that even when staff leave, return later in their careers All in all a fantastic place to work

Probably communication would be one. FSI has worked hard to try and improve this over the years but its still not perfect, where many staff wish there would be greater transparency offered by upper management
