      Pros

      Own the whole development stack and design the system as you want.

      Cons

      Founders are totally dumb and know nothing about technology works. They treat employees as slaves working on salary and think programmers are replaceable like delivery boys. I was once told that if delivery boys and chefs can work 12 hours a day and on weekends, then why can't you.

      Pros

      can call for help at all hours of the day. Able to call off no questions asked.

      Cons

      Of course, pay can be higher but I dont think it's up to the owners necessarily.
