Pros

This year I'll have been working at FORT for 10 years, and I'd definitely recommend working there. If there was something I learned from my first few jobs, it was the thing that makes you enjoy working at a company is the people. My fellow co-workers are knowledgeable and always lend a hand if you need it. As a women in computer science I can say it's so wonderful working in a job where I feel safe and am never treated in a patronizing manner. One of things that I love most about working at FORT in the family-like treatment and kindness. When I had hadn't been working at FORT that long, I had a medical emergency and I needed to stay in the hospital for about a week and a half. I was not doing well, was freaking out about running out of vacation days, and was so fearful of losing my job. The first thing my bosses said was "We hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about your days off, take as much time as you need.". I think that experience really shows the kind of people you will find at FORT.

Cons

Sometimes you need to work outside of regular business hours if there is a critical issue, or you need to push something to live so customers aren't inconveninced. However, FORT is wonderful about being flexible with regular business hours for you if you need to go the doctor or something - I feel like you get back what you give.

FORT Systems Response
5y
This disgruntled employee was terminated for poor performance and not being a good team member. He showed up late for work every day, left early every day, communicated poorly with and alienated the entire team (all of which continue to work for FORT), and earned market wage. When we moved his desk to make room for another team member in the room where he was working, he moved everything back the way it was, literally threw things into the main hallway. He was promptly let go on March 21st, 2014. I wish Glassdoor would retire old and more importantly misleading reviews.
