Pros

Never any boredom. Great place for someone who is self-taught and likes to learn new things.

Cons

Poor work/life balance in the Clinical IS department. Very high turnover rate which in turn leaves very few knowledgeable people . Poor mentality of training employees. They fear if they train people they will leave to consult. However, that is far from the truth if the working environment were better. No room for advancement, especially if you are good at your job.

Work from home/hybrid opportunities. Reasonable healthcare benefits and rewards program. Small team, no drama.

Cons

low salary, reactive management style, broad task responsibility compared to job description. Limited opportunity for promotion within department. Best healthcare plan limited to hospital system.
