Pros

Decent benefits package Yearly merit raise Good business model

Cons

I shake my head in disbelief everyday. I don’t understand how a huge corporation has turned into what it has: an absolute disgrace. Either upper management is the same or they are extremely unaware or don’t care or all of the above. But all good things come to an end and there will come a day that FM will either be sued and lose good people and struggle to run their operations with constant turnover with a bad reputation that clients will hear about. Nobody will remain in a toxic environment promoted by the managers except their backstabbing favorites, friends and family who will do the same to them once they feel they are of no use to anymore. There is bullying, favoritism, nepotism, employees that act like animals to other coworkers and the managers laugh and cover it up, no work from home, rumors spread that are slander and defamation of character that managers do nothing about, and this creates a beyond low morale and high stress level. Who would work here? Nobody wastes their time filing a complaint because HR is all friends with the managers and cover it all up. The managers hate their employees and talk about all of them behind their backs (favorites included) There was a time I would highly recommend working here. Now well if you want to work in an insane asylum where the crazies are running it so be it. But my advice is to stay far far away and go to a normal company.

Pros

* Great business model at the foundation * Solid compensation program: Base salary + bonus * Sustained high profitability over the long term * Stable employement * Pension Plan

Cons

* Extremely hierarchical and regimented * Promotions based on favortism rather than true merit. Employees are precategorized and stigmatized on their ability for future career progression. * Extremely focused on metrics and internal objectives. This leads to box checking, cutting corners and bending rules to meet the numbers. * Extremely heavy workload. No work-life balance. * Management doesn't really incorporate employee feedback; they pretend to to check a box. * Quality of job suffers to keep up with quantity. Everything is becoming data driven and the data is often wrong. Enormous pressure to hit a button and accept at face value whatever the system spews out. * Our CEO builds fancy gold plated office buildings that aren't needed and pulled the plug on hybrid work to justify the investment in the real estate.
