Pros

FiREapps is a pure SaaS company solving a challenging business problem for multinational companies around the world. It was first to market and still has no serious competitors. I recently retired from my position as CTO at FiREapps. As one of the original employees, I participated in all the stages of the company’s growth, and I can say without hesitation that I enjoyed my time there more than any other company in my 35 years in the computer industry. Because of this, I was surprised at some of the previous reviews, which do not match my experience at all. FiREapps is a ‘can-do’ company, and we always took all of our clients’ and partners’ problems and technical issues very seriously. Every FiREapps department and every individual made a 110% commitment to this goal, and the FiREapps CEO and COO set stellar examples. If you can’t make that commitment, then go work someplace ordinary.

Cons

Before FiREapps, there was no commercial product in this space. Defining a brand new product for a challenging business problem requires that you continually work with clients and partners to refine the solution as the market grows and understands the potential for an automated solution. This continual change is exciting to some, and disconcerting to others. Fortunately, most of the FiREapps team falls in the first camp, and have stayed with the company a very long time.

Pros

The executive staff I have had the pleasure of working under and with are amongst the most compassionate and intelligent people I have ever witnessed. Now, this combination in a team is perfect as they will lead you and challenge you in ways to grow career-wise and also as an individual. The company comes of as a high-energy, market-leader tech company, and I would say that is exactly what they are. The CEO is one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever met, both business-minded and people-wise. Meetings with him I always leave inspired and driven to do more.

Cons

If you are unwilling to learn this niche market and do not have the desire to work hard and grow as an individual, then one would list cons here. However, I am hardworking and love learning so I have absolutely no cons to list here. I would expect this tech to be in Silicone Valley, but I am very glad they are based in beautiful Scottsdale.

Pros

There are many great things about this company. First of all, the work environment is far better than other companies I have worked for. You get the sense that upper management cares about your ideas and thoughts, and that they welcome feedback. The C-suite members are incredibly personal, and give you the time of day. Everyone here seems to be very dedicated to building a great company and product, and to providing immense value to their clients. The people are all very friendly and willing to help you learn and grow. I feel like I have gained quite a few skills while working here, and I've been here for a little over a year. There's definitely a feeling of family and camaraderie here. Since this is still a smaller company, some of the processes you may expect from a larger company are still being hashed out, albeit quickly and with high priority. For example, one of the things the company has been focusing more on is giving better reviews of work performance, and also training for employees. Also, there has been some turnover in the past, but management has taken strides to mitigate those issues.

Cons

It can be a little intimidating at first to jump into such a complex niche market, especially with little prior experience. The information and knowledge is definitely attainable, but it will require (as with most other things) a can-do, go-getter attitude when it comes to self-education. If you're the type of person who likes a challenging work environment with increasing responsibilities, and are a self-manager when it comes to learning and career growth, then you may perform well here. Don't expect to know everything the first few months: the subject matter is complex and multi-faceted.
