Pros

Finn Partners has a great reputation and touts some cool benefits, including free lodging in upstate NY ski town. Very smart people and exceptional clients.

Cons

Because it is a mishmash of many different smaller agencies that they acquired there's a lack of clear vision, policies and processes for client services. It tends to be focused on billing, not results, in my experience. Some practices are much better organized and managed than others, but there's no clear communication or process about how the various practices can and should work together. There's a lot of territorialism since the various groups have their own P&L and, while they tell clients they have vast capabilities across practices, there's little incentive to collaborate.

Pros

Prioritizes work-life balance and enormous openness to feedback.

Cons

Limited opportunities for growth (I was part of a team that had no promotions in 6+ years, despite the fact that all of them are amazing), DEI façade to "pretend" they're part of a progressive movement (I'm nonbinary, I said this in my application and interview process, and literally no one ever used my correct pronouns, especially my manager who I talked about this with several times), and there's a lot of chaos that folks simply accept as a fact of life rather than something to grow from and improve. There's simply no desire to collaborate for growth—literally one of the most dysfunctional places I've worked at.
