Pros
We have a lot of independence. The work schedule can be as little as 3-4 days a week. There is a lot of variety in daily activities.
Cons
We are on call 24 hours a day. Since the facility is open 24/7, if someone calls off then you are expected to come in and fill the shift. Despite being off, we have daily activities and emails that take time away from family. We are not direct supervisors over the employees...instead we are operational managers. it is a bit discouraging to manage people but not actually be the decision makers behind their employment and growth. Despite high growth, there doesn't seem to be lot of positions to move up to.
