Great team, typical agency environment, deep into the financial space - Director, User Experience Design Extractable Employee Review

I've been working at Extractable for almost one year. The camaraderie with the team is great. People support each other even when they dont have to. There are a lot of team members that are very smart and good at what they do which is a nice change from my previous job. The company objective of making digital finance friendly is surprisingly fun.

At times there are a lot of projects/clients with deliverables at the same time. It can be challenging to balance the work loads during busy times. While there are a lot of exciting projects, there are also a few mundane ones.

Management cares about the company and the team. They've been a digital agency for 19 years and understand how to keep a small consulting team going. As an employee you're given a lot of autonomy which is great if you're wiling to run your own course. Work life balance is great especially for an agency. There is not a common agency mentality of trying to get everything out of someone and then move on. They work hard to try and balance the cycles of work for everyone. Great people who really care about their work. The people are also great to hang out with after work.

Because management is often working through planning I think it can feel like they aren't communicating. The cycles of work at a smaller agency can be tough for many people. You often have too much work or not enough work. But this is true at any smaller agency / company.
