Overworked and toxic - Anonymous employee Extern Employee Review

My department was toxic with several changes of management, none of which were fit for the job. Recruitment procedures were not followed and several poor hires into the team were made who were toxic. General leadership was toxic. Little support and we were always overstretched. I had a breakdown at one point during my time there. Pay was far from competitive. A number of staff who profess to be social workers and social care were entitled and toxic, and would question their proficiency to work in the sector. Lack of respect. Constant issues.
