Pros
Great place to work, good balance between controlling type activities and access to financial analysis. As well, do not have deal with some typical controller type activities such as corporate compliance or payments or taxes, as that is done by the parent corporation. On top of this, it's a cool atmosphere and between the parent and subs, you'll come into contact with some sharp people.
Cons
The company is owned by private equity and has changed hands a few times. That creates so change of priorities. P&L maintenance is one of them and when business slows can create some heaviness in the organization.
