Pros

-Collaborative workspace, even though you don't have the "cooler talk" you have a great workspace where people are always willing to help -Consistent CEU opportunities -Opportunity for growth (if you want that! i.e. Supervisor roles) -AI note taking/documentation!!! -Licensure support to make sure you're always up to date -Bonus potentials!!!

Cons

-can feel like heavy workloads. If full time, sessions are 30 minutes each and back to back, at 3.5-ish hour increments. I come from a private practice background where sessions were 1 hour long and back-to-back, so this was not a shock to me but can be for some!!! -Can feel overwhelming to meet high expectations (i.e. frequency rates, attendance/rescheduling responsibility) HOWEVER, the bonus potentials can create great motivation to meet these expectations -Pay is okay, with high demand hours allowing for increased compensation. I do wish compensation was a bit more without having to work late hours.

Pros

Supportive team culture with clear expectations and strong leadership. Excellent opportunities for professional growth as an SLP, including monthly CEUs and grand rounds. Despite being a remote role, there is a highly collaborative environment with a true sense of team connection. Flexible scheduling and accessible, responsive management make it easy to feel supported and successful in your role here!

Cons

Salary increases are capped, which may limit compensation growth even when performance expectations are met or exceeded.

Pros

Ever since I've started, I've really enjoyed having the opportunity to work from home. The flexibility of being able to complete work without having to worry about a commute or distractions from an in person setting have been really helpful for my productivity. This job has also been some of the best benefits I've had in the healthcare field. I think Expressable really makes an effort to be innovative and to grow as a company. One of the things I've appreciated is that when concerns are made, there's an active plan to resolve the concern. Engagement surveys allow the opportunity to note where you feel the company falls short and then those concerns are met with action plans to support therapists and the company as a whole.

Cons

For some, this setting may be challenging as it is fast paced and there's a lot of responsibility to independently keep up with product updates that come with working for a start-up. Being tech savvy is necessary at this company. Expressable is also still getting it's footing with streamlining insurance processes and communication with clients from the admin side. This can be frustrating at times as being the therapist leaves you somewhere in the middle. You really have to outweigh your pro's and con's. Some days are pretty packed with clients, but I've found it a lot easier to manage from home than in-clinic where it was more challenging to time transitions between pediatric clients.
