Pros

You're not stuck in an office all day and the company itself has fantastic training tools. If you can get in with a good franchise at a young age you can reap a lot of benefits.

Cons

It is an unwelcoming environment thanks to the staff and GM. You are constantly pushed to do more and more before you've achieved the initial goal. They present the business as classy professional environment but cater to thugs and parolees. It is bottom line cold calling. You are no different then a vacuum sales cleaner. You have doors shut in your face, clients telling you to get out of their office and you just need to deal with it. The work vs reward is not balanced what-so-ever. When you decide to leave anticipate your name to be drug through the mud. There are a lot of unethical and discriminatory practices that the franchise owner and GM encourage. I've never in my life have felt so disconnected and unwanted in a position. I was instructed to bring new business but once I did was told not to bring so much as the staff couldn't handle the load. Mixed messages.

Pros

The owner, Jessica, is fantastic as is the sales manager, Kirby. It can be a fun environment and putting people in a position to succeed is always rewarding.

Cons

Employees are not held to any sort of reasonable professional standard. Where it directly impacted this role at the time was that at least 25 hours every week were spent essentially begging employees to turn in time cards rather than doing anything productive. Standards seemed pretty inconsistent at times. The company felt a little aimless. There were several conflicting plans for the future. My understanding is that in the six months after my separation, they more or less replaced the entire staff for various reasons. Maybe they got it figured out now.
