Pros
Looking back after four and a half years of working with Export Accelerator, I can honestly say that the experience helped shape my career in ways I didn't expect. What stood out most was the opportunity to learn and a genuine focus encouraging staff to stay fit given the sedentary nature of the job. In my previous organisation, I was mainly focused on managing ad campaigns and driving ad revenue, which was always a sticking point in my monthly reviews with sellers. At Export Accelerator, I was exposed to many different areas of the Amazon ecosystem, including Ads strategy, media plan, Seller account management, and growth drivers. This broader exposure helped me understand how Amazon businesses operate as a whole and made me a much more rounded professional. The flexibility and trust given to employees is another major positive. You're encouraged to take ownership of your work, share ideas, and continue developing your skills. The management team is supportive, approachable, and genuinely interested in helping employees grow. If you're willing to put in the effort and take on new challenges, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and progress. I used to look forward to their bi-monthly staff “keep fit” marathons. In fact I have continued using the app even after I left the company.
Cons
The learning curve during the first 3-4 months can feel steep, because you're exposed to different aspects of a seller’s Amazon journey. There is a lot to learn, especially in the beginning it may feel challenging for someone looking for a role with a specific Amazon focus. That said, the exposure you gain initially makes it worthwhile in the long run.
