I was disappointed to discover the unexpected £4000 exit fee, which was disguised as a learning and development fee, should I decide to leave the graduate programme before completing two years. In addition, I spent six months on the bench without any client placement opportunities. The company over-hired graduates, leading to a situation where some were let go within a week without severance pay when they couldn't find placements for them. This experience was frustrating and not what I had anticipated when I joined the programme.
