Pros

Department colleagues are great and there is a wide variety of places to go during lunch to hangout at

Cons

Stuck in the Past: The company is heavily weighed down by old-fashioned thinking and using cost as the only evaluation criteria. Innovation is actively discouraged, and the standard response to any new idea or process improvement is "this is how we’ve always done it." Trying to modernise anything feels like pulling teeth. Heavy Politicking: Instead of focusing on actual performance and output, a massive amount of energy goes into managing egos and navigating unnecessary office politics. Blatant Favoritism: The Managing Director (MD) openly shows a strong personal preference toward one single employee/department. This individual can do no wrong, receives the best opportunities regardless of merit, and has a direct line to the top, which completely destroys team morale and creates a highly toxic, uneven playing field for everyone else.

Pros

Location is great, Changi Airport location is fantastic with unparalleled access to food and facilities across T1–T4. Department colleagues are friendly, easy to get along with and team dynamics are genuinely great

Cons

The AD lacks clear direction and leadership skills. The department feels rudderless and there is no mentorship or advocacy for the team when challenges arise from other stakeholders. Do also expect long, demanding hours during events that are not claimable. The salary does not align with the actual workload, feeling like a significant "lowball" compared to industry standards. The management is problematic we essentially function as an execution arm for the projects team, rather than a creative or strategic department. There is a "cult-like" expectation to follow instructions without question. Management only follows direction from one team so there is clear biasness. AD also frequently shifts blame onto internal team rather than addressing structural or leadership failures. There is also no clear career progression or professional development here. If you are looking for long-term growth and strategic autonomy, this is not the place for you.
