Pros

We still have lots of perks, and it's a very cool environment. I feel almost European with the benefits and vacation time I have. Campus is great, working out or playing sports at lunch is great, and I feel like it's a young professional environment. Pay has gotten better over the last few years too.

Cons

I think the pendulum swung from wild and crazy Aubrey McClendon times, to super bureaucratic and soul sucking under Doug Lawler. There was a sweet spot when the company was getting on the right track. Still had a free spirit vibe, but with lots of necessary changes (pay based on performance for example, not just a uniform increase), but now the company has gotten so bureaucratic and intense. Employee regulations are onerous lately. It's difficult to move into new job openings now. There has to be a formal process.

Pros

Pleasant coworkers who are always willing to assist and educate, great team working and collaborative environment

Cons

Terrible, far below industry-average pay, required to work weekends and evenings for free, long hours. Management is composed of the most incompetent fools imaginable. The turn over is so high you’d think management gets extra bonus for losing people. Zero upside to hard work, will result in no raises or promotions. The only thing management values is how much butt you can kiss and how much you fall in line. Keeping up with appearances and playing politics while puffing up management’s ego by saying how great all their idiotic decisions are is the only way you’re going to get anything at this company. Layoffs are extremely common, if you want job security you won’t find it here. If your favorite hobby is drinking the corporate kool-aid you’ll love it here, otherwise find anywhere else to work.
