Pros

Many of the people you work with are genuinely very good people that you will create a strong bond with through smiling for the camera and then each venting to each other about company policy when the lens is pointed another way. The strongest bonds are between those who find commonality in hating the same thing.

Cons

The president/ co-owner plays a dangerous game of dangling people's livelihood in front of them for his own manipulative and hypocritical personal ventures. Every single positive review on this website, in regards to Executive Technologies Inc., are written at metaphorical gunpoint. Pay – When I was hired I was offered a probationary salary for three months, a which point I would automatically be removed from a probationary status into a full time status and collect full time compensation. I was also offered a monthly allowance of “X” amount for vehicle expenditures considering I was expected to use my own POV for job related duties. Five months into the job, I was inquiring about my promised graduation to full time status and pay and was told that it never happens within six months. When I asked to be sent a copy of my employment contract, I was denied and told “This is how we do things, no questions.” While completing my taxes, I also found out that the monthly allowance for POV maintenance, instead of being an actual allowance on top of base salary (as promised), was a part of my base salary. So where was my promised allowance? Was I actually expected to cover the cost of vehicle maintenance out of pocket while completing my work for this company while the company subsidized nothing for it? Transportation – The answer is yes. You will drive A LOT. 25k-35k miles a year. All while getting literally NOTHING for it. You have an option of driving your own vehicle out of pocket or driving one of the company vehicles, none of which should safely be on the road. It is a sad reality that I was actually expected to risk my safety, and possibly my life, when I was told I had to drive a company vehicle while being handed explanations of “oh, don't worry. We'll get the brakes replaced next time. Just brake extra early.” Management – This company is a dictatorship. Period. It is run with an iron fist. Period. In many cases, that might not be a con. However, in this case it very much is. You are all working to fund one man's pocket and you will conform as such. You are not working to help people. You are not working to make a company great. You are working to fill this man's pocket. If there is ever anything that threatens this man's pocket, there will be a reason that it is your fault and you will be publicly ostracized. Suddenly, all of the mismanagement, all of the miscommunication, all of the missed phone calls from customer's to management will be entirely your fault. “Why would the customer even be calling us if you were doing your job correctly?” - an actual question that was asked of me, a technician, when a customer called about a contract dispute. I had been threatened to be fired or terminated five times during my employment at this company, not one of those instances was in a situation that was within my control. Training – You get none, while the world is demanded from you. You will hear “Just get it done!” a lot from management while getting zero direction or support. Then, when things eventually go wrong, because you get no support, (as states above) it is all your fault. In my experience; everything written on this site that does not boast a five star review is very accurate, and I have experienced first hand. EVERYTHING. The five star reviews were written by people ordered to do so while trying to keep their job.

Pros

I had worked in a couple of large corporations and was looking to go back to the small business culture without losing the large corporation, fast-paced atmosphere. Executive Technologies is that place! ETI is a great place to work; I love the people I work with, and all of the opportunities I have had to branch out and do things that I haven’t elsewhere. Coming from the corporate environment, work/life balance is a big issue. ETI's management is concerned, not only with the individual employee's growth in their career and their value to the organization, but also with the individual and that balance with their personal life. ETI really does work hard and play hard. ETI is looking to add more fast-paced, hard-work loving, motivated, quality people as we experience phenomenal growth. The benefits at ETI are beyond anywhere I have seen offered by companies large and small.

Cons

Normal growing pains... but ETI management is always poised to remedy.
