Pros
The organization's employees are its greatest strength.
Cons
Leadership culture was the biggest issue. In my experience, favoritism mattered more than experience, expertise, performance, or results. Employees who aligned closely with leadership appeared to receive more opportunities and recognition than those who simply did strong work.
Compensation was below market for the level of responsibility expected. Technology and internal systems were significantly behind industry standards, creating daily inefficiencies and frustrations. Despite ongoing issues, there did not appear to be meaningful urgency to modernize systems or improve the employee experience.
The organization's approach to emerging technologies such as AI felt more restrictive than forward-looking, which raised concerns about its ability to adapt to changes in the industry.
