Pros

If you have integrity, own up to your mistakes, and show up to work, you will always have a job. Depending on what branch you work at, you will have lots of down time. This bank is pretty slow, not more than a few customers in the branch at a time usually. The people who work here are pretty loyal and generally nice to work with.

Cons

You will be stuck in that position you are hired at it, if you do not aggressively ask for new challenges and opportunities. The managers do not have a clue how to coach or develop employees. The career development program here is extremely weak and there is no consistency on how to get promoted to a Senior Customer Service Representative. The main issue at Exchange Bank is there is a huge lack of consistency between departments, even between department employees, and between branches. If you ask different people the same question, you will get a difference answer.

Pros

Under previous CEO, Exchange Bank was a heart-felt, caring community bank. It cared about its employees and offered regular cost of living increases.

Cons

Under current CEO, all of the execs are out of touch, regional management does not support the branch staff, the pay is so far below competitive, staff cross-training always takes a back seat to branch staffing needs which means you have to fight hard for growth, and the back office treats branch workers terribly
