Pros

Small company and close relationship with fellow employees not management as they would have you believe

Cons

Management does not support you or care one bit about the employee Examples I can not afford to paid like the big consulting firms however, I will not lay you off like they will when the work is slow. Truth Two weeks after you contract ends you will be cut loose If you work for me you have a job for life. Truth None of his original employees work for him now. I don't know of any who left on good terms. If you request help with a problem management is no where to be found. Fact What ever the problem is it will be your fault and you will be held accountable for the problem The truth is no job is better than a job with Excers

Pros

The company hires great individuals and you get the opportunity to work with intelligent people in a fast-paced and interesting atmosphere. Every day you are met with new challenges and the work changes week after week. They hired me off of performance and merit rather than years of experience, which is not something you see every day. The company is small, but communication is excellent and despite being geographically dispersed there is a feeling of companionship and closeness among the employees that I did not experience at a large company. There are opportunities to work on interesting new products and engage in portions of projects that are often split up among different teams and management levels at larger companies which gives you the opportunity to learn and grow at a much faster rate. In addition to this there has been plenty of in-house coaching and training to help grow employees.

Cons

The PPM market is a bit shaky at the moment, but the company is trying to move into a new product and do it's best to keep moving forward. Despite the shaky market, communication has been clear and encouraging. With the landscape of the PPM market being uncertain it is not clear where future career opportunities lie.
