Pros

Evosus has been around for 15 years and is a solid company. They are ramping up for growth in the next couple of years, and are looking to launch a web/cloud-based product. They have a solid niche and customer base.

Cons

They have no defined onboarding process or internal training. There are no consistent feedback processes in place, and they're struggling with transitioning from small to mid-size company. They have had a lot of turnover in the last year, people moving within the company and new/old people coming and going. There appears to be no formal warning process or policy designed to guide an employee who isn't meeting expectations and the expectations for management are fuzzy, at best.

Evosus Response
10y
Here at Evosus we pride ourselves on the fact that as a small business under 30 employees, we operate on many levels like a larger organization. We provide more transparency and training into our Company and products than most employees experience in similar size companies. But we don’t stop there. More recently we have adopted a more formal onboarding experience for new employees that uses technology to track their onboarding process and their employment history. Unfortunately, culture fit is not something we train for. We certainly try to find candidates that fit our culture, but sometimes, not often, it’s just not a fit. We have learned from experience that you cannot force culture fit, and should respond early during the 90 day review, which we believe is what we did with this candidate. We regret when it happens, but fortunately, that seldom is the case due to our multiple screening processes.

Pros

Working at Evosus feels like being part of a team that cares about the finish line. As a small SaaS company, everyone works incredibly hard to keep our clients happy and to foster a culture of engagement and collaboration. Whether it's our Customer Support team diving deep to solve software issues or our Development Team releasing frequent and effective updates, the dedication to the customer experience is real. One of the things I appreciate working here is the direct involvement of the CEO and department heads. They aren’t just names on an org chart, they have a clear and unified vision for where Evosus is headed. This isn't a company drifting aimlessly, there's a strategy in place that everyone can get behind. From a product standpoint, Evosus is the inventory, accounting, retail, and service software leader in the pool and spa industry. While other companies are constantly trying to play catch up, we have a significant head start. The biggest differentiator is our inventory and accounting suite. Most competitors lack these critical pieces, making Evosus the more robust, "all-in-one" solution that businesses actually need to scale. I'd also like to add that I've never worked for a company that cares about work/life balance. This is felt from our leadership, from HR, and from each other as coworkers.

Cons

Transitioning clients from a legacy product to a new cloud-based platform always comes with its share of hurdles. It requires a lot of patience and clear communication to set proper expectations, which can be demanding during peak seasons.

Pros

A successful, well run business with strong leadership and a wonderful team. I appreciate the hybrid work flexibility and the fact that the company pays for my medical benefits.

Cons

The individual workload can be a bit much on occasion.
