If you are a self-starter interested in solving problems and getting the rope to solve problems without having to conform to bureaucracy or politics, this is the place for you. You get true ownership of products, clients, or both in being part of this lean team. The leadership truly does care about each Evolver, making personal accomodations when the needs arise. There is a well-rounded approach to decision-making and everyone feels comfortable contributing their opinion. I feel mentally stimulated on a daily basis and engaged to problem-solve.

Given the lean team, there is no room to hide--there is an expectation of performance and those who are asked to leave (like others who have commented on this page) were likely non-performances. There are big expectations but performance is rewared through cash compensation, equity, recognition and promotion.

The people are nice, for the most part

Incredibly disorganized and they micromanage you like crazy. You have to meet with management once a day to go over your to-do list and then track everything to the second in their software, and you get in trouble if things aren't tracked perfectly. They also threatened to go back in office full-time multiple times but never gave us any feedback for what we should be doing different. I had a family emergency one time and they wouldn't let me take the time off because it "wasn't a legit reason". I don't know how I survived a full year there, but it was probably the worst place I've ever worked.
