Pros

The mistreatment we endured at the hands of regional management helped some of us to bond. Some events were pretty cool - but even that is over now.

Cons

Management is a menace, they don’t care about you even though they tell you otherwise. If you happen to have the smallest conflict with your direct manager, HR will start communicating with you once you’re on the chopping block to leave and will make zero effort to understand what is happening on your side of conflict - if they communicate with you, there’s already a punishment lined up and it’s a final decision. If you become outspoken and try to defend your rights, they will fabricate reasons to let you go even if you have consistently good yearly performance reviews and are viewed as a valuable team member. If you’re trying to learn and grow inside the company, you are left to your own devices - you will be expected to learn everything by yourself about the position you are aiming to reach since no one has the time to onboard/help you. You have to be personal/old time friends with your direct manager to feel secure in your position, otherwise you will be discarded whenever they feel like it. Structural decisions that might impact your personal life (for example RTO policy) are agreed upon on a friday with effective on the following monday. Your efforts and results mean nothing whenever salaries are reviewed - there will never be budget to raise you anyway.

Pros

Supportive coworkers…interesting line of work. Okay salary, overtime guaranteed if needed.

Cons

Very strict, can be exhausting especially overnights. At times could deal with changes and break pushbacks mid shift. Feels like nothing is really planned ahead of time and is done on a whim. Prone to being understaffed overnight and leads to burnout quickly especially during holidays. Strict when it comes to your mistakes, but not their own, for example I was relieved 15 minutes into a 30 minute break, and informed there wasn’t anything they could do about it nor could I get my full 30 at that time and was expected to come back after 15 minutes passed and wait for my next break, yet when I arrived 5 minutes late from a break for the bathroom, I was written up. Disorganized. Don’t recommend overnight unless it’s your cup of tea.
