3yThanks for your detailed feedback. We’re really sorry about some of the experiences you’ve described of working with us. We try hard to make this a great place to work but of course, we can’t get it right all the time. We’re glad you enjoyed working with the team in India – we enjoy working with everyone here, and couldn’t value the team across the whole business more if we tried (they’re pretty magnificent – we’re really glad you agree!)
Across the business we’ve sadly had to say goodbye to a few colleagues in the last 12 months, and it’s been incredibly hard for everyone involved for that to happen. In India in particular, we’ve had only one person leave the business since the pandemic because our needs had changed, and we’ve hired several more - meaning our headcount has actually increased in the India team. So we’re confident we’re definitely not targeting any team based on geography in the way you’ve described here.
As the business grows and changes it’s really important that we build the structures and tools we’ll need to be successful going forward. By the very nature of our work in financial services, that’s going to include quite a lot of rules and defined ways of doing things, as it rightly should. We’re proud of the things we’ve build in recent years to help us be sure we’re being fair, doing the very best thing for our customers, and managing the risks in our business. We totally understand that some of us can find those changes hard work and like to work in a more freeform way, and this industry definitely isn’t for everyone.
