Pros

Free gym membership, that’s it

Cons

They are willing to cut hours beyond what is safe for a centre to run day-to-day. They have an extremely ‘corporate’ outlook about everything. They are willing to improve their flagship money making sites, but smaller sites are completely ignored (except when it’s time to cut hours) and suggestions from staff which could improve then centres are dismissed from upper management. Management also play the blame game with each other so no one is held accountable for bad decisions

Pros

Large company with options to relocate around the country, if you wanted to. Very good with health and safety procedures, majority of processes ready to be implemented.

Cons

Very sales driven. Targets, KPIs and profits are prioritised over colleagues and members. Sales team expected to give up personal time on end of month. You're expected to check and respond to emails when you're off or on annual leave. The company is very clique, you don't really progress unless you know someone in a senior role. Salary is always advertised as 'competitive' however, the pay doesn't justify the work you're required to do, or the extra time you work without pay. It's frown upon to claim for time worked outside of your contracted hours. There is no such thing as work life balance: you're expected to work day all the time and not be paid for it.
