Creative possibilities exist to create a value-added responsibilities to your role. The Executive Director is a fabulous person and professional. The work is wholly meaningful to the country's current needs for a better democracy. The salary and benefits and flexible hours were excellent. That they take racial equity seriously is top-notch; they model it in their structures, hiring, policies, and language. I could say much more about the benefits and joys of working here.
Cons
Hmm...the reality is that it's a small nonprofit team, and so upward advancement isn't really possible. However, that is counter-balanced with the empowerment and freedom to bring your unique contributions and create new responsibilities or roles that both advance the mission of the organization as well as align with your personal interests for professional development.
