Pros

Company creates software for students with special educational needs.

Cons

Worked there for three months. Company went from private to public and was in the process of reorganizing company to meet financial quotas, so they could sell the company for a profit in the future. As a result, bottom line was priority. Managers didn't really want to hear any excuses, they wanted results. This was a problem, because they weren't taking care to listen to long term implementation for sustainable growth of their consumers. They wanted reps to sell and to find new income despite regional and cultural differences. It takes time to develop an interest and approve budgets in public school systems, which was in direct conflict with managements priority to meet specific financial benchmarks on a time line. I was the only marketing rep. hired who had actually used the programs in a classroom environment. None of the other representatives had any experience in special education. Huge turn over with staff in all departments. Very "clicky" people on staff. Hit and miss bonuses promised and not delivered. In marketing, at least, they were looking for "Cherry Pickers" to increase sales for short term. Not really a very transparent company. Lots of players in the system.

Pros

The product and the people. Both wonderful and mission driven; committed to helping our customer base of special educators and students.

Cons

Where do I begin? Sometimes I think management, whether consciously or subconsciously, are trying to get people to quit. Absurd pipeline goals without the necessary resources and workforce needed to meet them. Short-term decisions made that make no sense in the name of adding to pipeline. Additionally, we still feel like to distinct companies who are struggling to create an Everway corporate culture. Also, does it make sense for everything to be centralized in the UK? North America could be more nimble if certain departments who understood the K12 landscape better were based here.
