Not much. Now they have a bunch of expensive C hires.

Cons

Massive layoffs and the CEO doesn’t care. Company culture has totally disintegrated.

Pros

Good healthcare benefits and company holidays.

Cons

Leadership: If you want to work under toxic leadership (yes. At EVERY level) Everlaw is your place. If you want office politics, high school mean girl attitudes, and obvious favoritism. Everlaw finance is the go to place. If you enjoy being peer pressured into happy hours, being scolded when you DON'T attend company events, and enjoy being micromanaged.. again, Everlaw finance is for you. Was your lunch 5 minutes longer than 30? Your manager and director would like to know why. If you want an absent CFO who allows his children in leadership to do whatever they want (including literally bringing their own kids to office when they should be at home or school) this is it, this is the place. And no, there are no family days at Everlaw for children to attend work. Management underpays by ALOT. There are way better companies in the Bay Area with reasonable pay and a healthy work culture. They will constantly harass you to be a high performer and max your output while giving the absolutely bear minimum come time for raises and promotions. Yes, your manager will gaslight you to get you to work harder since youre "so close to a promotion" when in reality, your manager and director know they aren't promoting you..you will be pinged relentlessly. So be smart, and don't give an inch. RTO is huge here. Are you sick? Well how sick? Your manager and senior leadership still want you in office. Are you using your PTO? Watch out, they dont like "part time employees" here, Dont use your pto. Are you leaving your desk to go on break and or meet with someone from another team? You'll get pinged to go back to your desk. Leadership likes visibility at all times and they need to see you at your desk. (CFO is big on seeing people at their desks too). Turnover rate here: Incredibly high. Someone is leaving every 6 months. Contractors are hired left and right, culture is so poor and toxic, they cannot for the life of them keep a solid team going. Why? Because all of leadership is bad, but like real bad. People have left with nothing lined up just to get away. This department and team is a total red flag. The funny thing is, the overwhelming majority of people do not like management, they just play nice. But then they also don't like each other and so the turnover rate clock goes back to work.
