Pros
Important mission, staff and management work all hard to better serve homeless youth in the city.
Cons
Due to the broken funding system in the sector, frontline staff don’t get paid enough. Mid-management team takes care of a lot of work in the “middle” of burned-out frontline staff and ever-changing senior leadership team. Probably one of the best mid-management teams I’ve ever worked in my career over the past 10 years, very smart, dedicated and committed. Unfortunately due to the ongoing conflict and gaps between Sr leadership team and frontline staff who do not trust Sr leadership team enough, the mid-management team tends to do more work behind the scenes, even direct case management work.
