Pros

The office was located in Chinatown, there was lots to do and see there. The people seemed nice, though I didn't talk to them much in my week with them.

Cons

The biggest con is that the company does not pay their people. As an intern, I was not paid. I talked to an Etomon employee that has been working at Etomon for six months and she was not paid. The director/CEO told me about her experiences in China where she worked as an unpaid intern for more than a year to justify her not paying her employees. The hiring process was really messed up. Etomon brought in me and another design intern candidate to work at the office for a week before they would decide which candidate they would hire. The other candidate did not return after her first day, and I honestly should have done the same. Instead I came in to the office to tell the CEO in person since that seemed like the courteous thing to do. When I told the CEO I would not be taking the Design Intern offer, the CEO got very mad and started demanding that I signed forms to give Etomon rights to the graphics I created the day before (which is standard in the industry I know, but it felt very inappropriate in this instance because 1. I was not paid 2. no forms were signed prior to this interaction so I technically had no obligation to them 3. I was under immense pressure from the CEO forcing me to sign Overall, a short, terrible experience and I'm not even sure if it's all legal. I'm surprised the company is still going.
