Pros
- The management, coworkers, and physicians I worked with were all very supportive. They were open to communication, so if there was anything that could be improved upon to make things more efficient or if you needed extra time/help completing your workload, changes were able to be made.
- You get a lot of clinical experience and are able to get a closer look at the realities of practicing medicine.
Cons
- There is a very steep learning curve going in. I had no experience prior, and despite my thorough background of medical terminology and long studying hours, it could be overwhelming at times. The work is very fast paced, and you have to take the notes home to edit if you don't finish them in clinic. Over time, I got significantly faster but it was hard in the beginning.
