Pros

Work from home and take advantage of missed appointments (don't worry they're sales calls) that are "disguised as your client winning an award" If you like the lack of management - I guess that's a plus too-

Cons

Where to start- They will only give you clients that have heard this sales pitch / video you make them watch every year for the last 10+ years. Even the top sales people around won't stand a chance when they are just waiting to hang up the moment you try to open into a sales pitch. 5 months of working there, not a single one on one. They actually told us to listen to our own calls after hours (salary, not hourly) and they expected us to have those ready for them (but of course they never followed up on that because they lacked doing one on ones) Your appointment didn't answer? No free time for you. They expect you to cold call from a list in between your calls so don't expect to have free time to enjoy working from home. (The moment I realized this I never once made these cold calls because I was specifically hired as an inbound appointments) - It only took them 5 MONTHS for them to realize I wasn't even doing that lmao (again shows how amazing mgmt is) All of the extra benefits they mentioned in their job postings are all bs. No 401k, no gym membership reimbursement, it's just a bunch of bs, (there's a reason they are now called Essential Engine instead of 5 star because everyone already caught on to their nonsense.

* Fantastic support and continuous training form the Management Team * Managing and growing your book of business * Getting to work with same clients every year and building relationships *Fun team atmosphere and a great group of people to work with. *No cold calling and lead hunting on your own. Appointments are set for you.

The company is fairly small so there is not a ton of room for advancement and changing a career path.

Pros

I absolutely love working at Five Star Professional! For the first time in my long work career, I actually feel valued as an employee. My previous work experience was with large corporations where employees rarely, if ever, had a chance to meet the CEO or any member of upper management. With Five Star, I've had the opportunity to meet and engage with company leadership. Five Star is already an industry leader but, thanks to the company's dedication to its employees and customers, I know that the future is going to be even bigger and better! Five Star genuinely goes above and beyond to make each employee feel appreciated and heard. Our management team encourages feedback and is objective, responsive, and accountable with regard to issues, concerns, & questions. On top of all that the compensation, incentives, sense of community, & recognition are great! Five Star's industry best practices ensures hiring the best people. If you're fed up with being just another cog in the machine and want to work for a company that values you and your talents, I strongly recommend that you apply for a position with Five Star!

Cons

I have zero complaints. Great company!
