Pros
Ot lots and lots of ot
Cons
Typical day a Essendant Have to be to work at 12pm and I never know when I'm getting off work the latest I stayed was till 12:45 am. Ot is mandatory you can leave but management will warne you that if you leave 3 times before the work is done you get wrote up. Management is horrible management talks about the employees. Line leads think their supervisors. Management listen to "he say she say". This is the first job that told me I'm not allowed to talk. I know management don't like me because the person over my supervisor rolls his eyes at me. They say safety is is their number on priority that's a joke. You have people running in the ailes picking so fast to make productivity they be hurting their self. Management show favoritism to certain employees that kiss their butt. I quit Essendant yesterday without giving my 2 weeks notice their turn over rate is high because of the way they treat their employees. When I had my interview at Essendant nobody was smiling no one. Gave me a tour and everybody looked grumpy. In the summer it's 10x hotter in the building than outside and they still expect you to be running around in there picking orders. I used to be sweating in places I didn't know sweated. All management would say is drink Gatorade. I barely sweat but when I have sweat dripping in my eyes like I'm at the gym working out it's a problem. But they still expect you to keep your productivity up. My supervisor picked with us for about 2 hrs (not on a hot day) and didn't even last. They give us I think 8 days off on the calendar off, but if customers are open they will take hay day away and make us work at the last minute.
