Pros
- Flexible work hours (some people don't even come to work) - No risk of being fired - Zero accountability (you can be lazy and no one cares) - Free Healthcare (for however long that holds up)
Cons
- Trying to sell like Salesforce (except without the commission or incentives) - Lazy people everywhere (you would think you were working at a government) - Career growth is about zero - Pay raises are 2-4% at best (make sure you get a good starting salary) I'm thoroughly convinced that the positive reviews are someone from Esri putting them on here. If you notice only the interns think this place is awesome. Trust me, having Esri is great on your resume, but don't come here if you're looking for advancement and career growth. There are pretty open about not commissioning their sales staff; which ultimately is perfectly fine That being said, then don't try to model your drive and processes like Salesforce. The people that work there get rewarded handsomely for their efforts.
