Pros
-Get a good name under your resume
-Learned very very basic things about designing for a magazine (more software related)
Cons
I expected being an intern for Esquire magazine would be a little bit more challenging and rewarding. As soon as I got there I was told I was going to help out with many new things going on in the magazine and that I was going to be worked hard. None of that happened… I get that interns have usually banal tasks and whatnot but I feel like an internship should benefit both the employer and the person. I wish I would have been more useful as an intern here but its not from lack of trying.
-Kind of really SCARY quiet in there. Very serious (by serious i mean boring) design environment, If you'd like to be in a place that has more fun with the creative process, this isn't for you.
