Pros

Flexible Schedule, Reliable Team, Does not schedule outside availability

Cons

0 hour contract, will cut early or cancel shifts day of, passive aggressive management that deliver “coaching” as a conversation that is one sided, schedules based on performance measures that are not disclosed to the team members, expects all team members to be coached daily without disclosing what is/is not coaching until there is written documentation. If there is written documentation, if there is another situation, then it’s an automatic termination. Their turnover rate is 95% annually, most team members end up leaving to other stores, getting fired, or quitting within a year.

Pros

They definitely care about you and do the best to adjust to any scheduling problems. You’re treated like family.

Cons

Although, the scheduling is pretty open, if you ask for a set schedule, it may not always be as consistent as needed.

Pros

Relaxed work environment, somewhat flexible schedule (which I would not consistently consider to be a “pro”)

Cons

- Bad pay. Was promised minimum wage and then a $1 increase after a 30 day probationary period. 5 months later, realized this increase hadn’t occurred and talked to the manager about it. He said that he never added it since I didn’t “ask” for it. I have never been expected to ask for the promised and contracted pay from a company - Unsafe. I can think of 2-3 times where someone walked through the front door and straight through the back, likely casing for robbery. One of my coworkers was mildly electrocuted by a game component on the job; she was not sent home or checked in on but sent back to work. - Shifts randomly cut. Day of, night before, an hour before start time. Store would also frequently close early on weeknights. - Passive aggressive text messages on Slack, rather than just speaking directly to someone - Rude clientele. Not exactly in the control of the company, but management was on the side of “the customer is always right”. - Would randomly be scheduled when I had no availability or requested off (and had been approved for those days off). Would get my phone blown up on a vacation I had given 2 months of notice for, because I had been scheduled the entire time.
