Pros

SLOW to change. Long arduous painful processes to implement new procedures Managers make bonuses based on lower level employees performance Managers have ultimate flexibility

Cons

Management is a good ol boys club Pay is menial considering the work load They will overload you with work if an employee from your department goes on leave or quits make no mistake you will be doing the full job of two people for months or even years Lower level employees receive NO bonuses based on performance or even a Christmas Bonus Distracted so much by outpacing the competition that they cannot effectively meet goals Lack mentality Fear based management

Pros

The only pro I can think of anymore is a hybrid work week

Cons

After new owners took control of the company, so many perks/benefits have been taken away, (cost of living increases in early 2025, early Fridays, bonusly rewards, full time work from home, etc) A majority of the long term employees were terminated and are being replaced with people with no baby industry experience. This industry is very complicated and I don't think upper management knows just how complicated it is, and how much work it takes to get products to market.
